In Q1 2024, Nigeria's top 5 photography apps on the Android platform exhibited diverse performance metrics in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here’s a closer look at how each app fared during the quarter.

Photo Lab Picture Editor & Art from Linerock Investments LTD saw a decline in weekly revenue from $88 in early January to $55 by the end of the month, before stabilizing around $74 towards the end of March. Weekly downloads fluctuated, peaking at 65.9K in late January before dropping to 27.4K in early March. Active users mirrored this trend, starting at 434.3K and settling around 286K by the end of the quarter.

X PhotoKit experienced an increase in weekly downloads, starting at 13.5K in early January and reaching 34.6K by mid-March. The app’s weekly active users also grew significantly, from 17.3K at the beginning of the quarter to 53.4K by mid-March. Revenue, however, remained minimal, with only slight increments peaking at $2 in mid-March.

The app’s downloads varied, peaking at 17.3K in mid-February and ending at 11.7K in late March. Active users showed minor fluctuations, maintaining an average of around 180K to 190K.
